SAF with seat bearings combine solid cast iron or cast steel bearing seats with high load-bearing capacity self-aligning roller bearings to meet the most stringent requirements of heavy industry. The convenient split shell design simplifies assembly and maintenance. Each seat bearing is equipped with an advanced self-aligning roller bearing with optimized geometric structure and raceway surface treatment, achieving maximum load-bearing capacity and longest service life. Timken Company manufactures two main types of bearing housings: SAF and SDAF. Larger SDAF bearing seats are recommended for applications with extreme heavy loads.

Size range: 35mm to 300mm (1.37795 in. to 11.811 in.), special axis sizes can reach and exceed 1000mm (39.37 in.).

Design Features

The split structure is easy to disassemble and assemble.

Featuring a pry bar tool slot and a unique pry bar fulcrum, it simplifies the inspection, maintenance, and replacement of bearings.

The upper cover can be easily and quickly removed without damaging the bearings or bearing seats.

The integrated bearing seat and bearing design enhance the lubrication characteristics of the equipment.

Multiple sealing options can prevent the shaft from being contaminated.
