The swing bearing is designed without a cage, and only one outer guard ring is used to secure the components during transportation and installation. Timken Company offers three types of swing bearings - TTSP type, TTC type, and TTCS type.
TTSP (swing, with holder)
TTSP type bearings belong to thrust bearings, consisting of two conical thrust raceways, rollers, a cage, and an outer guard ring. The outer protective ring can fix the components together during transportation. These types of bearings are mostly used for positioning automotive steering devices and industrial equipment.
TTC and TTCS (swing, no cage)
TTC and TTCS type bearings have no cage, two tapered thrust raceways, rollers, and an outer guard ring. TTC and TTCS bearings are the same except for the retaining ring structure.
